Our own lives will be better in the 20th century. Babies will live because
of the Infant Incubator displayed on the Midway,
people will be cured because of x-rays on exhibit in the Electricity
building, the automobile in the Machinery & Transportation building
will be able to take us farther and faster than our horses. We will
live in a world made more sanitary, easier to clean, warmer in winter
and cooler in summer, with better preserved foods. And electricity will
allow us to move about at night, read or work, all with the same
degree of safety and ease that daylight provides.
