Two Scuptures

These sculptures, which flanked the doorway to the Sculpture Gallery of the Exposition Art Building were details from French's memorial monument to Richard Morris Hunt, prominent American architect. A photo of this memorial also appeared in Gallery M in the Art Building.

The monument today is located on the east side of Central Park, at the intersection of Fifth Avenue between 70th and 71st Street
in New York City.
